Tara is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code, and your contributions are tax deductible.
For the past 25 years, Tara's mission has been to provide quality care to individuals and families affected by alcoholism and/or drug addiction by promoting life-long continued recovery. Each month we receive numerous calls from men and women who are seeking help. Many of these individuals do not have insurance or sufficient funds to pay for their treatment. Unlike many facilities, Tara continues to provide long-term residential care. Statistics show that the longer an individual is connected to treatment, the greater his or her chances of maintaining continued abstinence.
Over the past few years, we have been faced with decreasing reimbursement from insurance companies and state funding. Despite the decrease in funding, treatment needs are ever increasing. It remains a priority at Tara to ensure that all individuals are able to access services.
As a result of this elimination of funds, Tara is establishing a client scholarship fund to provide treatment for those who have limited financial resources. Alone this mission seems innsurmountable, but we have learned that by working together with foundations, churches, groups, and individuals in the community who share our concern, the insurmountable can be accomplished. In light of this endeavor, we are inviting you to partner with us as a supporter.
Your contribution offers someone the opportunity to receive the help they desperately need. Gifts from generous donors like you provide criticial financial support for our Scholarship Fund.
